When we analyze a flood, you’ll receive updates about the maximum flood extent and flood depth severity observed so far. These updates are not a timelapse; each one builds on the previous one to provide a more complete picture.
The number of updates depends on the flood’s size and duration. Most floods have at least two updates, while smaller events may have just one and larger, more widespread events may have gaps between later updates as the flood unfolds. We’ll clearly state in each update email if there will be additional updates and tell you when to expect the next one.
