How to use Flood Insights in QGIS

Pre-requisites:

  1. Download and install QGIS (version 3.28.8 and above) for your OS HERE


Loading the Data in QGIS:

  1. Open QGIS and start a new project

1.1 Ingesting Customer Portfolio (CSV File) in QGIS

Open QGIS => Layer => Add Layer => Add Delimited Text Layer

 

1.2 In the Delimited Text dialogue box, Load the portfolio csv file and select the X field and Y field in the file as shown in Figure 2 below

 

1.3 Check the Coordinate Reference System (CRS) of the Depth Raster file, you will use this to reproject the portfolio layer to the same EPSG code.

In QGIS, right click the depth raster layer => Properties => information

 

1.4 Make sure both Portfolio layer and Depth raster layer are in the same Coordinate Reference System (EPSG Code). This will ensure that zonal statistics of the portfolio layer is done correctly. To reproject the portfolio layer to the same EPSG Code in step 1.3, follow these steps.

Open Processing Toolbox => Reproject layer => Select Target CRS
