(WF) Activation thresholds - Australia
For Australia, ICEYE takes into account both the number of buildings within the perimeter and the reported fire status. ICEYE triggers a wildfire activation when more than 5 buildings are within the perimeter, more than 80 buildings are within a 2 km buffer, and the fire status is either “Out of Control” or “Being Controlled”. ICEYE analysis will cease when any of the following conditions are met:
-
Fire status becomes Under Control, OR
- Advice alert level has been lifted, OR
-
A Bushfire All Clear is issued, OR
-
No hotspot activity for ≥ 3 days, and all buildings within the official fire perimeter have been assessed
