Earthquake Rapid Impact is the fastest observed view of the impacts caused by earthquakes (and related tsunamis), including fires following earthquake events. The product is based on SAR change detection technology [1]. Its aim is to provide customers with a comprehensive view of impact at the structure- and neighborhood level to expedite event response and recovery.
Change Detection
" Change detection is the process of identifying alterations in the state of an object or phenomenon over time. This product employs amplitude change detection, which focuses on analyzing changes in the magnitude or intensity of a measured signal to determine if and how the object has changed. "
